Information we collect
When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect the details you give us:
- Your name, email address and telephone number
- Your organisation and role
- The sector, project type, site postcode and timescale
- Anything you write in the project details
We also collect information when you contact us by phone or email, or when we survey a site, quote or carry out work for you, such as site addresses, contact details for site staff and project correspondence.
Please don’t include sensitive personal information in your enquiry.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a site survey
- To prepare quotations and plan, carry out and hand over work
- To manage our contract with you, including invoicing and aftercare
- To keep records we need for accounting, tax, insurance and legal purposes
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing emails without your permission.
Our lawful basis
We use your information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform our contract with you, to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business and responding to enquiries.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where needed, with:
- Our website and email providers, who host our website and deliver enquiry emails on our behalf
- Subcontractors and specialist installers working on your project
- Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers
- Authorities, where the law requires it
Where any of these providers process information outside the UK, we expect the safeguards required by UK data protection law to be in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to work, and records of quotations and completed work, for twelve months, and then delete them. Where the law requires us to keep invoices and financial records for longer, for example for tax purposes, we keep only those records, only for as long as required.
Cookies and other websites
Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your device’s IP address when a page loads. Links to Facebook, Instagram and Google Maps take you to websites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information, or to restrict how we use it
- Object to how we use your information
- Ask us to transfer your information to another organisation
To use any of these rights, please contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
